In addition to interpreting field instructions like conditions, loops, expressions and include-statements, the merging of variable data is a central task of CIB jsMerge.

There are 2 different kinds of data sources:

• The data is structured using the CSV format (with the possibility of using multiple CSVs in a structure)
• The data is structured using the XML format.
