General

The CIB pdf toolbox is a universal toolbox for processing PDF files. The individual tools are subdivided according to the focus of the functions.

The user has access to the entire functional range of the CIB pdf toolbox.

All functions of the CIB pdf toolbox support extended PDF features such as encryption and web optimization.

CIB pdf merge

With CIB pdf merge it is possible to:

• merge data from external XML, XFDF and CSV data sources into a PDF. Form fields contained in the PDF document are addressed by their unique name and are filled with the given content. Due to the ability to process datasets, it supports both single letter and serial letter functionality.
• retrieve or/and set data of invividual fields via direct API interface using programm code.
• control, if filled form fields can be edited afterwards or remain readable only.

CIB pdf join

With CIB pdf join it is possible to combine single PDF files/components to one. It is also possible with encrypted (condition: owner password is known for each file) PDF files.

CIB pdf overlay

With CIB pdf overlay, various objects (e.g. graphics, text) can be stamped onto a page by indicating their position. A detailed description of this tool can be found in the chapter "Letterhead function, overlay of text, graphics and barcodes".

CIB pdf linearized

With CIB pdf linearized, PDFs can be saved web-optimized and the pages to be displayed with priority can be favored.

This is of particular interest especially during internet downloads in order to enable the viewer to display the pages quickly.

CIB pdf print

With CIB pdf print Interpreter from the CIB pdf toolbox, a PDF file can be printed directly. Optionally, an interface for interactive printer selection and further print properties is available.

It is also possible to display PDF files in the print preview/page preview module CIB view/jView and print them from there.

Additionally, there is the possibility to edit PDF form fields from the CIB view&form module.

CIB pdf split

With CIB pdf split Interpreter, a PDF file can be split into several PDF documents according to certain criteria (e.g. page ranges).

CIB pdf interpreter

The PDF Interpreter included in the CIB pdf toolbox provides important detailed information about PDF files, especially for third-party manufacturers of PDF interfaces/tools.

CIB pdf format

The CIB pdf toolbox also allows reformatting of loaded PDFs to modified structures, e.g. into PDF/A.
