Configuration file

In this section we will explore how to adjust CIB pdf brewer at your needs with direct manipulation of the configuration files.

Hierarchy

CIB pdf brewer has a hierarchy of configuration files that are loaded.

The global configuration file is located in the windows drivers directoy, which is %SystemRoot%\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 and named CIBpdf_3.conf. This file is loaded at first. Changing this file requires adminstrator rights.

The printer configuration file is located in the windows drivers directoy, which is %SystemRoot%\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 and named <printername>.conf. This file is loaded after the global configuration file. Settings made here, override settings of the global configuration file. Changing this file requires adminstrator rights.

The user configuration file is located in %APPDATA%\CIB software GmbH\CIB pdf brewer\ and named Global.config.json.txt  This file is loaded after the global and printer configuration files. Settings made here, override settings of them, except for those, which restrict, customize ui or freeze settings.
